Under the bridge

Under the bridge captures the lively character of Sydney Harbour, with the iconic Harbour Bridge rising above boats moving across vivid blue water. The city and harbour sit beyond, while lush greenery and touches of pink flowers frame the scene in the foreground. Expressive impasto and palette-knife work give the water, foliage and architecture a richly textured, energetic surface. The composition brings together one of Sydney’s most recognisable landmarks with the colour and movement of the harbour, creating a vibrant celebration of the relationship between city, water and nature.
