My painting is an exploration of texture and colour, capturing the delicate beauty of floral arrangements through the tactile medium of oil on canvas. Using a palette I sought to convey the ethereal quality of flowers in bloom and buds awaiting their turn.
The impasto technique lends a rich, sculptural quality to the canvas, allowing each brushstroke to be felt as well as seen. This textured surface not only mimics the natural contours of petals and leaves but also invites the viewer to engage with the artwork on a sensory level.
The painting, framed in an oak floater frame, is presented in portrait orientation, drawing the viewer’s eye upward to the blossoming flowers and the subtle details of each delicate petal.
