Doughnuts delight

Doughnuts delight turns a familiar sweet treat into a playful still-life subject. A vibrant stack of doughnuts is finished with colourful sprinkles, giving the composition an immediate sense of colour and light-hearted energy. The food-art theme is treated through impasto and palette-knife work, so the painted surface becomes part of its appeal. Thick marks add movement to the forms and give the sprinkles and layered shapes a lively visual rhythm. Rather than aiming for a literal study, the work uses a recognisable subject to explore texture, colour and the pleasure of everyday indulgence.
