Dawn

Dawn captures the quiet drama of a winter landscape as the first light breaks across the sky. Dark, bare trees stand against luminous yellow and gold, surrounded by soft mauve and purple tones that give the scene an atmospheric glow. Below, a heavily textured snowy foreground reflects the cool stillness of the landscape. Impasto and expressive palette-knife marks create depth and movement throughout the work, while the contrast between the silhouetted trees, brilliant dawn light and snow gives the painting its distinctive energy. The result is a winter scene that feels both dramatic and contemplative.
