Dancing in the wind

My work explores the dynamic interplay between colour, texture, and movement, using impasto techniques to create depth and energy on the canvas. This painting is an expression of organic flow and spontaneity, capturing the essence of nature in an abstract form. Through thick, deliberate strokes of paint, I embrace the tactile quality of the medium, allowing each mark to carry an emotional resonance. The palette—soft pinks, deep blues, rich purples, and gold accents—evokes a sense of vibrancy and fluidity, reminiscent of petals caught in a breeze or fragments of a memory suspended in time. The layered application of paint builds a surface that invites both visual and physical engagement, encouraging the viewer to explore the movement within the composition. This piece is a celebration of the beauty found in imperfection, in the organic chaos of nature and emotion. By working with impasto, I aim to create a sensory experience that goes beyond the visual, urging the audience to feel the rhythm and pulse of the painting’s form. The artwork is framed in oak floater frame.
